Dr. Hintz grew up just north of Bondurant, Iowa attending elementary, junior high and graduating from Bondurant High School in 1997.

After high school, Dr. Hintz live in Santiago, Chile for two years as a missionary. There he became fluent in Spanish and learned great appreciation and respect for the cultures and traditions of others.

Dr. Hintz and his wife always wanted to return to central Iowa and raise their children there. After much consideration, Dr. Hintz decided to start his own dental practice, Hintz Family Dentistry PC. Dr. Hintz offers the entire family quality dental care in a modernly equipped facility where continued education and patient comfort is a priority. Our staff wants to take time to understand your needs and help you to be happy with your dental care.

Dr. Hintz lives in Bondurant with his wife and 6 children.

Dr. Hintz is considered a Spanish interpreter and translator according to the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Klavins is an Iowa native born and raised in Urbandale. He first became interested in dentistry during middle school after taking a career finder test that lined up well with his interest in science and passion for art.

He graduated from Iowa State University in 2014 with a degree in Biology and then moved to Minneapolis to attend dental school at the University of Minnesota where he gradated in 2018.

While a student at Iowa State, Dr. Klavins was a member of the drumline in the marching and pep bands and still enjoys music today. His other interests include biking, hiking, backpacking, and spending time with family and friends.

He was excited to move back to his home state after joining Hintz Family Dentistry in June 2018. Dr. Klavins strives to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for each of his patients in order to improve their overall oral health.

Dr. Hansen was born in north central Illinois, and grew up on a family farm.  He graduated from The University of Iowa with a BS in Biology in 1984.  Dr. Hansen worked at the Dow's Institute for Dental Research at the College of Dentistry prior to attending dental school.  He has authored and corroborated on several dental articles relating to cavity remineralization, Fluoride toothpaste clinical trials and dental filling materials. He presented research findings at several national meetings. Dr. Hansen graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1991.

​He owned his own general dental practice in Davenport, Iowa for many years before moving to Ankeny.  Dr. Hansen and his wife, Georgia, have been married thirty-five years. They have two married children and two granddaughters all of whom have made Ankeny their home. The Hansen's enjoy boating, biking, and kayaking. Mostly, they enjoy being close to the kids and grandkids.

Dr. Hansen joined Hintz Family Dentistry in March 2019. His mission is to provide high-quality personalized care and dental education that makes his patients feel comfortable and completely at ease.
