What Do You Spot in this Ad?

Take a look at these 3 pictures and see what you can spot from this Colgate floss advertisement!

When I originally looked at these pictures, the very first thing I noticed was that there was something in each man's teeth. Afterwards, I looked closer...

Did you notice the extra finger in the first picture?

What about the phantom arm in the second picture?

Or that the man in the third picture is missing an ear?

Colgate teamed up with Y&R Brazil to come up with this ad, which shows that food remaining in the teeth will draw the most attention when compared with any physical defects. Although this Colgate advertisement has been shown on our Facebook page back in 2014, this advertisement was actually only released in Brazil!

Did you know that only 49% of Americans floss daily, according to a 2008 study?

According to this same study, 10% of Americans never floss!

Flossing is an important, effective tool in preventing tooth decay, just like the toothbrush. In fact, if you don't floss, you miss cleaning 35% of the tooth surface! A common area to have dental problems are the places that toothbrushes can't reach (like in between the teeth).

Flossing selection ranges from waxed or unwaxed, flavored or plain, wide or narrow, the container, and the brand. Mostly, it all comes down to your personal preference. And if you don't like flossing, look for effective alternatives, like water flossers.

Don't be afraid to talk to your dentist, hygienist, or dental assistant about the proper flossing method.
