Hintz Family Dentistry's Continuing Education 2016

Not only does our staff require continuing education credits on an annual basis in order to maintain licensing and certification, but Hintz Family Dentistry values continuing education for its purpose of continually receiving up-to-date information and lessons.

With this knowledge, Hintz Family Dentistry can continue to bring top notch quality dental care to the entire family!

On May 5th and 6th, Hintz Family Dentistry closed all 3 offices in order to buckle down and focus on the annual continuing education. Instead of traveling this year, we decided to stay here. The doctors attended IDA Annual Session for classes in Des Moines. The rest of the staff all met up at our Des Moines office.

See below for some pictures and descriptions on some of the activities!

The front receptionists went through a series of refresher lessons and activities led by our new assistant office manager, Mariela. Some topics reviewed include insurance verification, Medicaid prior authorizations, referrals, and balances.

The dental assistants and dental hygienists completed several online courses throughout both days. These courses covered various subjects, including treatment planning, infection control, sterilization and disinfection processes, early childhood oral health strategies, and creating a blueprint for personal success.

The staff also did some team building activities in between courses!

"It was a great opportunity to get some CE credits out of the way, while having fun and interacting with all of the employees that we don't normally get to see on a day-to-day basis." - Beatriz, Assistant Office Manager of Marshalltown
